Motor Cities Gruppe Picnic is Sunday August 9th from Noon until the last car leaves
We will have the same format as last year; the club will furnish the meat entrees (ribs & chicken) while the members will bring their choice of side dish, salad or dessert. We would like them to RSVP and let us know what they’re bringing so that we don’t end up with too many of one thing and none of another. Home made goods seem to be more popular than store-bought (judging by leftovers). Please call Diane at 248-698-3045 or email me at email@example.com to RSVP
The club also furnishes water and soft drinks, anything else please bring your own. If anyone would like to swim in the lake, bring a swimsuit and towel
Our address is:
10805 Oxbow Lakeshore Dr.
White Lake, MI 48386
(East off Teggerdine Rd., 2nd street South of M-59)
356’s come up the driveway and park on the lawn by the house, all others please park in the street. We will have the tables set up in the garage as before so the weather won’t affect the event
We look forward to another great picnic!
Dave and Diane

Dennis and Sue Denyer
Linda Walton fell down the stairs in the middle of the night at their home outside of Elk Rapids a few weeks ago, she sustained multiple fractures and was in serious condition at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City and has since stabilized.
Dave and Diane Burton stopped in to see her and offered this information:
Diane & I stopped and visited with Linda this afternoon for about an hour. She was alert and perky and we talked on many subjects. She has made remarkable progress since we saw her last Saturday. She says (and her nurse confirms) that she has gotten out of bed and walked a short distance down the hall with assistance and she knows she has work to do to keep up her leg strength. She is using her hands and arms and has a serious neck brace on but looks remarkably normal. Linda looked good today, Diane & I were happy when we left.
Their next visit was even better:
“Dave and I were able to visit Linda twice this weekend. She looked amazing! She was alert, talkative, and in good spirits. We visited for about an hour on Friday and about two hours on Sunday. At that time she appeared to be getting tired so we left. She and Thom indicated they hope she’ll be released this week to a rehab facility. They are hoping the doctors will allow her to travel to a facility in Milford (they hadn’t talked to the Dr. yet).
Keep your prayers and cards coming – they are very much appreciated.
Thom & Linda’s address up north is:
6368 Winter’s Trail
Kewadin MI 49629
The hospital is talking about releasing Linda to Rehab and Thom’s not sure if it will be up north or down in Milford. Their downstate address is:
1331 Timber Ridge
Milford Michigan 48380
After a very scary period, Linda appears to be on the mend and headed for recovery. Please keep her and the family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks, Dave B.”
