Stoddard Swap Meet 2015

Story by Sebastian Gaeta and Photos by Gruppe Member Dan Mazur There was a pretty nice contingent of Gruppe members at this years Stoddard swap meet. Neil Goldberg and I drove down in the Blunderbuss, Gottfried Hogh’s 1984 VW Vanagon that he picked up in Hannover Germany that year. His family had a long history of Tourist Deliveries from both Porsche and VW, and this 25,000 mile example has all of the paperwork to document that adventure. Bill Rohrer and Dan Mazur came down in “Brutus”, the Rohrer household’s “teenager” vehicle, a Ford Explorer. Both Brutus and Blunderbuss were full of Porsche parts. Vic and Barb are an annual fixture, and it was great to see Bill and Freda Block, Ted and Jim Dunham, Joe Jakobus and John Chatley representing the Gruppe.

Every year we all look forward to this weekend. Besides being a great place to buy or sell parts, it is a huge social event and a great place to see the wonderful cars that bring us all together.
